For divisions U06 and up, there will be two practices and one game each week, typically on a Saturday morning. For Panther Cubs, practices are just one day a week on Saturday morning.
Players need a water bottle, shin guards, cleats, and the correct size ball for their division. Rules can be found HERE.
Volunteer coaches are able to request the days and times that work best for their schedule. LMYSA Board takes these requests into consideration as practice days and times are being finalized.
Game scheduled are finalized a few weeks after the first practice. Your coach will send the game schedule out as soon as it is finalized.
SAY Law 7-A: Illegal Personal Equipment
If you hear thunder, if you see lightning, all play is stopped for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Play will not resume for a minimum of 30 minutes after the last sight of lightning or sound of thunder in your area.
Cars should not leave until the game is called, so all players can be accounted for.
Games are canceled by the organization or referees and coaches will communicate any canceled games directly to the team. This does not always happen in advance of the game, as weather is unpredictable.
Coaches can also decide if weather looks too unpredictable (heavy rain, wind, or storms), or the heat/cold too excessive, to hold practice safely. In this event, coaches will need to communicate practice cancellations with their team directly no later than 5 pm.
